Spectrata is a frequency-domain sound editor. Whereas most sound processing programs allow editing only by adjusting the value of a sound wave at specific points in time, Spectrata enables you to literally draw in regions of high or low frequency, for long or short times.
Early versions function as a converter between images and sound files, allowing one to use images created or edited in other applications as spectra to create sound files.
